Ruth...

Recently I got an email from a girl call Ruth... it reminded me about the Ruth in the Bible, The book of Ruth. The name Ruth means "friend" and "companion" that comes along with compassion also.

In the Book of Ruth in the Bible… it talks a lot about loyalty, kindness, love, to understand one another… the community/family & relationship… and best of all is that no matter how bad things might be, goodness can exist, if we are willing to make it…

This book also mention about being faithful to God when tragedy strikes and when times are not so good... remain righteous & looking beyond the short term toward his eternal plan. God will reward the righteous in due time.

I like the comment from NIV, Life Application Bible, "Just as Ruth was unaware of this larger purpose in her life, we will not know the full purpose and importance of our lives until we are able to look back from the perspective of eternity. We must make our choices with God’s eternal values in mind.... Because of Ruth’s faithful obedience, her life and legacy were significant even though she couldn’t see all the results. Live in faithfulness to God, knowing that the significance of your life will extend beyond your lifetime. "
